How we can help

Support for real life.

Flexible support that meets people where they are. Our services can stand on their own or work together, always shaped around the individual’s goals, choices, and routines.

Residential group homes

Comfortable, welcoming homes provided by Soar, where young adults live with support workers present 24 hours a day. Each home is a real place to belong, with daily routines and house life shaped around the people who live there.

  • Individualized support plans built around each resident’s goals
  • Coaching in everyday skills such as cooking, budgeting, and self-care
  • Support with appointments, medications, and transportation
  • Open communication with families and care teams

Day programs & community participation

Days built around interests, growth, and connection, supporting each person to take an active, familiar part in the neighborhoods they call home.

  • Recreation, volunteering, and enrichment activities across the Pittsburgh area
  • Practice with communication, money skills, and self-advocacy
  • Small groups with consistent, familiar staff
  • Flexible schedules, from a few hours to full days

Respite & personal care

Dependable short-term support that gives families and primary caregivers a chance to rest, recharge, or attend to other responsibilities.

  • Available planned in advance or on short notice
  • Care that follows the individual’s existing routines and preferences
  • The same consistent, trusted support workers each time
  • Arrangements that flex around your family’s schedule
